Geoffrey Bennington is Asa G. Candler of Modern French Thought at Emory University in Altanta, where he has taught since 2001, and where he has Chaired both French and Comparative Literature Departments. Before that he worked for 18 years at the University of Sussex, England, where he was often Chair of French, and where he founded the Centre for Modern French Thought.
He is the author of a dozen books and around 80 chapters and articles. He has also translated several works of contemporary French philosophy.
